BOARD DIRECTORS – RECRUITING for a FINANCE DIRECTOR

Scottish ClubSport is currently looking for the following Board Position:

  • Finance Director

 

As per our articles, this role can be filled by either an Independent Director or someone from our Full Membership (Sports Council/ClubSport networks and their affiliated clubs).

Completed Application Forms must be sent to the Scottish ClubSport Office, by email by 5pm on Friday 11th September (see information below). We reserve the right to close the recruitment early should we receive sufficient applications.

For information, Scottish ClubSport (SCS) is a national partner of sportscotland and the national umbrella body for local ClubSport networks and Sports Councils across Scotland, representing a current network of 24 with a combined total of over 1500 community sport clubs and organisations, 117,000 individuals, from more than 65+ sports. 

Scottish ClubSport celebrates it’s 50th anniversary in 2028. 

SCS aims to support members to be the strongest organisations they can be by delivering our 3 key pillars: Connect, Develop, Champion.

  • Represents members in key strategic networks i.e Cross Party Group for Sport, SGB Chairs Forum, LGBTI+ Sports Committee, sportscotland forums 
  • Encourages more organisations to connect with our work to allow for greater access and connectivity to other sporting organisations across Scotland and increase club membership locally 
  • Champions for the importance of Community and Club Sport to national and local leaders

Young people's working group

Scottish ClubSport is also recruiting for two young people (16-25) to join our growing Young People`s Working Group (deadline 22nd April 2024 at 6pm).
“The Young People`s Working Group is a brilliant platform for young people who are interested in sport, volunteering and community. There are may skills which young leaders can develop – including leadership, teamwork and communication. Young people have the opportunity to work alongside the organisations Board of Directors and help support specific areas of work. There are also opportunities to represent Scottish ClubSport at national and local events across Scotland. As a member of the group, your voice will be listened too and you can directly influence our work” – Louis Gallagher, Youth Director at Scottish ClubSport
