One of the key elements of the Scottish ClubSport Strategy is Championing local sport and our Annual Awards are a central part of the process. We look to recognise the people who are the heartbeat of community sport — the volunteers, whose dedication, commitment, and passion create opportunities for thousands across Scotland every single week, the safe and fun environments that clubs are and the local community networks that support them as Sport Councils and/or ClubSport Networks.
Through the Annual Awards we celebrate four categories:
ClubSport Network & Sports Council of the Year,
- Celebrating Sports Councils and ClubSport Networks that have gone above and beyond to support their members over the past 12 months. The award recognises innovative approaches, new programmes, improved resources, strong leadership and positive impact within the local sporting community.
Service to Sport,
- Recognising volunteers who have made a significant contribution to grassroots and community sport over 15+ years. This award celebrates their dedication, commitment and the unique qualities they have brought to their club, Sports Council or ClubSport Network.
Club of the Year
- Celebrating clubs that have gone above and beyond to support their members, volunteers, coaches and wider community. The award recognises clubs that have embraced innovation, developed new partnerships, achieved sporting success and made a lasting positive impact.
Young Leader of the Year (18-25yrs)
- Recognising an exceptional young person or group aged 18–25 who has made a significant contribution to grassroots, school, community or club sport. The award celebrates passion, dedication, leadership, creativity and the positive influence they have on others.
Nominations can be the winners at Sports Council/ClubSport Network or Affiliated Member Awards and need to be submitted by 10pm on Sunday 30th August 2026 by using our online form.
