Winner of the 2025 Young Leader Award is Catherine Woodcock, pictured here at her local junior parkrun.
Our winner was nominated by her local network – Aberdeenshire ClubSport. The award recognises the significant contribution made by a young person (aged 18-25) to grassroot, school, community or clubsport.
Catherine has been involved in Junior Parkrun at Kellands Park, Inverurie since it began in July 2024. She has grown to be a valuable core member of their team. This teenager has covered all volunteering roles with Kellands Park Junior Parkrun from leading the warmup to timekeeping to event director to name just a few.
Over the time that Catherine has been involved as part of the organising team, her confidence has grown and she is keen to do any role, bringing enthusiasm, a positive approach and a big smile.
Catherine also won the Aberdeenshire ClubSport SCIO Young Leader Award in March 2025.
