Launch of Equality Policy and celebrating Lgbtiq+ history month
Scottish ClubSport is proud to recognise LGBTIQ+ History Month as a time to celebrate the contribution of LGBTIQ+ people across society, including within sport, whilst also recognising the ongoing work needed to ensure sport is safe, inclusive and welcoming for all.
At Scottish ClubSport, we believe community sport should be a space where everyone feels that they belong and are committed to embedding inclusion across our network.
We are pleased to announce the launch of our new Equality Policy, alongside our EDI Data Collection Guidance that can be found in the policies section of this website.
These resources are designed to:
- Strengthen equality, diversity and inclusion across our member network,
- Support our network to collect and use equality data responsibly and meaningfully,
- Promote transparency, accountability and inclusive practice,
- Help ensure everyone, regardless of sexual orientation, gender identity or background, can access and enjoy community sport.
With the launch of these new resources, our EDI Director, Amanda Fleet stated “We encourage our member network to explore these documents and consider how you can support inclusive culture within your own organisation.”
