The winner of the Scottish ClubSport Service to Sport award, sponsored by Forsyths is Melanie Stewart-Wills. The award was presented by Aberdeenshire ClubSport SCIO to recognise Melanie`s long standing commitment and efforts towards community and club sport.
This years recipient of the Scottish ClubSport Service to Sport award, sponsored by Forsyths is Melanie Stewart-Wills.

Melanie has been involved with Scottish Gymnastics for 55 years, first as a gymnast and in her teenage years she became a coach. She has been coaching pre-school gymnasts for more than 35 years and ran Banchory gymnastics club for 20 years.
She discovered trampolining when she enrolled on an adult trampoline class in 1998, in 1999 she embarked on a coaching career in trampolining. Since that time, she has achieved level 5 (High Performance Coach) coaching qualification in trampoline and has equalled this in Double Mini Trampoline (DMT) also.
She has coached innumerable Scottish Champions and quite a few British Champions. As well as coaching she does a vast amount of administration work, organising competitions, membership secretary etc. for the past few years she has worked for Scottish Gymnastics as lead coach for the DMT pathway (squad) in Scotland.
Melanie has been selected by SG as DMT coach for internationals on several occasions and in 2023 she was selected by British Gymnastics as a DMT coach for the World Championships in Birmingham. The amount of time she gives to volunteering at events is incalculable and worthy of praise.
She is recognised in our sport not only in Great Britain but internationally too. A few years ago, Scottish Gymnastics offered Melanie the opportunity to enrol on a university course at Napier developing performance athletes and she gained a degree in this subject.
In 2023 British Gymnastics awarded Melanie a Master Coach certificate for having coached two gymnasts to World championships on four occasions.
