The winner of the Scottish ClubSport Service to Sport award, sponsored by Forsyths is Andy Morrison. The award was presented at this year`s ClubSport Lewis & Harris AGM to recognise Andy`s long standing commitment and efforts towards community and club sport.
This years recipient of the Scottish ClubSport Service to Sport award, sponsored by Forsyths is Andy Morrison.
Andy works tirelessly in the background in making sure Harris FC is one of Lewis & Harris Football Association member clubs (He had done this for years). He comes up with fundraising ideas, is always looking for sponsors to support the youths as well as the senior team, Andy regularly attend LHFA meeting is Stornoway throughout the season and is always available to support the association if he can.
Andrew has been a player for Harris FC. He has also been a linesman at many a game at Rally Park, and at away fixtures. He had played a part in coaching young players and encouraging others to participate in sport, especially football, throughout the western isles.
He is currently the treasurer of Harris FC (and has been for many years), is on the coaching staff of the first team, and he also writes all the match reports for Harris FC on social media. If you haven’t read any of his reports, they are worth the read alone.
Andrew is typical of so many stalwarts who do so much to support their club in their local area. He is fully deserving of this award.
