Scottish Government to continue PVG fee waiver for volunteers
Scottish ClubSport is delighted to receive confirmation that volunteers from qualifying organisations will continue to receive a PVG waiver, resulting in no costs to volunteers.
In 2024, Disclosure Scotland had a public consultation. Scottish ClubSport responded to this consultation on behalf of its members and local sports clubs. In addition, Scottish ClubSport wrote to Scottish Government Ministers emphasising the challenges that would be faced by voluntary organisations – especially local committees and sports clubs.
This confirmation of a continuation of the PVG waiver for volunteers is welcomed.
On the 13th March, SCS will be hosting a National Committees Forum with guests from Volunteer Scotland who will update the network on the updated legal requirements and details of the PVG scheme.
