Sport Scotland update (July 2020)

  • New tools and resources have been uploaded to the sportscotland website, click this link to find out more: sportscotland. The new page contains tools and resources to help local sports clubs and community organisations to create a safe space, connect people and communities and be inclusive.
  • You may find the following resources particularly useful: Return to sport coordinator: This is a description for an advisor role to help clubs return safely to activity. Taking a person-centred approach: This is guidance on how a community sports hub or club can take a more person-centred approach when returning to activity. ‘Playing our part’ is the recently launched communications theme to highlight the shared and collective responsibility involved in returning to sport in a safe way and in line with government guidelines. We hope that you will be able to incorporate #PlayingOurPart into your own communications to help share this message.
  • The next #SportHour take places this Monday (1st August) at 9pm, use and search the hashtag #SportHour to follow discussions.
  • sportscotland have organised two sessions for those involved in clubs in the communities to bring to life their recently published documents Getting your facilities fit for sport and Getting coaches ready for sport.  These are sportscotland organised sessions, to book a place use the Eventbrite links below.  The sessions are taking place on 29th and 30th July.  To find out more about the published documents please see the sportscotland Covid-19 section of their website, which can be found here.
